Mary C. Atkins, NCTMB, is a graduate of the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 750 hour program includes such areas of study as Swedish Massage, Polarity Therapy, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue Massage, Hydrotherapy, Anatomy & Physiology, Herbs, Homeopathy, and Bach Flower Remedies.

Mary’s commitment to the profession of Bodywork has led her to complete the CranioSacral Pediatrics course and the Advanced level of training in CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. She has also been a Teaching Assistant for several CranioSacral courses for the Upledger Institute. 

Additional continuing education consists of The Original Body —
LaStone ® Therapy, the St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy (Cervical Injuries, Postural Analysis and Pelvic Stabilization, Shoulder and Extremities), and Neuromuscular Therapy for Hand and Arm pain, TMJ disorder, and the Spine and Thorax with Douglas Nelson of Precision NMT in Champaign, Illinois.


She is a member of the

  2. International Healthcare Practitioners Alliance (Medallion Member), and

  3. American CranioSacral Therapy Association.

    Mary was voted “Best Massage Therapist” of 2004 in the Illinois Times.

Mary also has a B.S. in Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago.
